On Tuesday evening June 24, 2015 we attended the movie in Providence R.I. It was a One-Night TUGG Event, and was certainly worth the ride. A "Rich Christiano Production" which starts off with a young lady going off to begin her college education. From a Christian family, things get rocky when young Rachel Whitaker starts her class in Biology taught by seemingly-legendary Professor Kayman. He is an evolutionist and wastes no time trying to mold the opinions of his students. When Rachel's Christian father learns that "Biblical Creationism" isn't even being considered as a possibility in her Biology class he quickly confronts the professor. This soon leads to a debate in front of teachers and students. At a disadvantage from the start, he receives some expected assistance from a former faculty member of the college. A nice story with an unexpected twist at the end. Kayman's class begins with the question: "Which came first the chicken or the egg?" The class as you can imagine does not respond in unanimity....Watch the movie to see their responses.. This was my first TUGG Event I ever attended. If you get enough enough reservations for a movie production it can be shown. You sponsor the event ....introduce the movie and even sell some materials. My wife and son bought the shirts below. Nice movie about the creation-evolution debate. The trailer can be viewed below and remember there are limited engagements for this movie and most appear to be one-night TUGG Events. "Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;" Psalm 100:3 Coming To Theaters There is a very special movie coming to theaters this Independence week: "Faith Of Our Fathers" Brought to us from Pure Flix Entertainment, this is a story of 2 men who embark on a journey that eventually brings them to The Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. Led through letters written by their fathers while fighting in Vietnam years before, the lives of these two men come to a crossroads... as they relive the experiences of their fathers years before . It's been awhile since I've seen it, actually about 2 years ago at the Christian Film Festival in Lawrence, MA., but I remember it as one of the top 3 movies shown that Easter Week. An excellent movie which then had the name, "To The Wall", is finally being released this week. Nice Christian message as one of the fathers is a believer who shares the message of the Gospel to the other during the horrors of war! Please locate a theater near you where this movie is playing and try to see it. Support the Christian Movie Industry and the sacrifice that our Veterans of war have made for our nation and it's citizens !! Unfortunately, I don't expect it to be shown at many locations. “What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them goes astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine and go to the mountains to seek the one that is straying? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish." Matthew 18:12 I was going to write a Christmas post about some selected Gospel Movies, but last evening my wife and I viewed the 2012 movie "Silent Night". We expected a quality production based on what I saw of the trailer, but this film greatly exceeded all expectations.... A wonderful movie with excellent acting, production quality and a story which could very well be the truth behind the well known Christmas Carol. Cherished at Christmas Vigil services throughout the world, the movie tells of the song written by a European Priest named Joseph Mohr who gets re-assigned to the small Austrian town of Obernforf. Father Joseph, who against the instructions of his superior, Father Noestler, struggles to restore the Church Choir and continue services in their native tongue of German. It is during these struggles and with the assistance of his church music director that he gradually composes the famous and beloved song, "Silent Night"! Nice touching story accompanied by a nice script and excellent music which compels us to now list it as one of our favorites! The DVD is available at Christian Cinema.com and you can visit the movie website by clicking on the Image above. The trailer can be viewed below: I spent some time trying to find a Music Video of the song on YouTube and was fortunate to find a clip performed by "Celtic Women" at The Helix in Dublin, Ireland. For your information it seems that different versions of it have been written over the years. Please watch and listen to: The Christmas Carol "Silent Night" below: "For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6 Merry Christmas

White and Pure Flix Entertainment! In this movie , Ted McGinley stars as Paul Tyson, president of a major American Security Company who takes on too much risk and threatens the financial viability of his firm and even his integrity. The need for a cash infusion leads him to a Brazilian Investment Company where he is introduced to a beautiful representative of BVCA-Brazil which further challenges his faith and even his his marriage. Popular Christian Movie Actor, Keven Downes, also has a strong role here and rounds out a strong cast. Excellent production, acting, and story built upon a strong Christian foundation makes this an excellent movie to see. One criticism, however, Christian Movies need to maintain a certain standard of Modesty. In this movie BVCA Rep., Julia Santos played by actress, Ana Ayora, dresses in a way that few would consider Modest !! There is no need for this and the Christian Movie Industry needs to draw a line in the sand and not follow Hollywood !! Otherwise a nice offering with a good message about the importance of Our LORD in surviving the temptations that often destroy marriage . "Redeemed" also features a new Song called,"New Man"from the Group,"All Things New". This Music video can be watched on my Christian Music Videos Page. Click on the image above to visit the website of the movie and the trailer is below: “You have heard that it was said to those of old, “You shall not commit Adultery”. But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” Matthew 5:27 Interesting movie about a time in America when the "Religious Liberty" of the people has been compromised and the power of the state and their approved institutions dominate the lives of the citizens. Even though production quality is lacking in many areas, the message of "GOD's Love and Forgiveness" as given by Zachary John Thompson (Tyler Messner), towards the end of the movie makes viewing this film worthwhile. Movies involving "Religious Freedom" are important because once Liberty is gone, it becomes next to impossible to regain and usually at a great loss of life! And after one "GOD-Given-Right" is gone, what others will be stripped from the citizenry next? This goes to the heart of what America was founded upon as the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution reads: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. NCCS Notice that "The Free Exercise of Religion" was so vital to the drafters of the Bill Of Rights that it is mentioned FIRST !! Watch the movie and remember that "This Precious-GOD-Given-Right" in America is Under Attack!! When you begin to watch it don't be alarmed by it's lack of dialogue... "This is a Silent-Christian-Movie" with excellent background music! One which will bring a repeat audience as it reminds all of us what we all should expect during our walk with the Lord here on this broken planet. The movie opens showing the actual mass-production of the Bible and moves to a collection of 6 or 7 short stories which are all connected by the passing of a small Bible from person-to-person. Stories of happiness give way to sadness and broken lives are re-built as Christian love enters in the lives of those who are lost. You'll even see the gift of GOD's word being rejected which will break your heart. All accompanied with a nice selection of Bible verses which are featured as the movie progresses from scene-to-scene. The photography and videotaping in this movie is some of the best I've ever seen. Acting quality is good as Jenn Gotzon seems to stand out. The audience will feel the emotion and the love which pervades the movie even though the words aren't there.. From the beginning to the end you'll never guess where the movie will lead the audience..... The movie is now one of our favorites and we recommend it for all audiences. His new movie produced in conjunction with Liberty University !! Just watched it with my family Thursday evening and all of us thought it was a nice production!!... Kirk Cameron, with his new production company,"CamFam Studios", puts much to appreciate in "Saving Christmas". This new offering hitting theaters for only two weeks beginning Thursday evening November 13, features a,"Cameron-View of our Christmas Traditions" intermixed with some relevant history and family celebration. Nice message as we approach the Christmas season. Watch for it in your local theaters !! Humbly Submitted by Jim Eckland
"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." Ephesians 6:11-13 My wife and I watched another christian movie and guess what? Another nice surprise... A movie centering around bicycling and the family problems of one Erica Stratton. The movie opens with the breaking up of her marriage as her husband walks out the door presumably for good. "The Prime Culprit" as we become aware later: "His Addiction to Pornography" !! What we will find out later is her teenage also has a "Problem" which needs help and understanding. Erica, who prays and asks GOD for help twice daily, picks up a new hobby: bicycling which soon brings a new Christian Man into her life. Watch how the movie develops and how she gets her life and the lives of her son and daughter back together. At first I didn't want to mention the specific type of addiction that's being portrayed here in this movie....save the story for the audience so-to-speak, but a strange thing happened the next morning... I received an e-mail about "Christian Addiction To Pornography (See Below), and knew I had to include it. Note that the movie makes reference to: "Putting On The Full Armor of GOD" to battle your life's problems such as addiction !! This movie is nicely done and a joy to watch. Naturally we'll be adding it to our list of favorites and suggest you watch it also. You can find it at Christian Cinema and remember they also do "DVD Rentals-By-Mail", so visit the site and look into it. Shocker: Study Shows Most Christian Men Are Into Porn A shocking study indicates that high numbers of Christian Men look at pornography on a regular basis and engage in Extramarital Affairs. Please read the above linked article and become aware of the problem among Christians and the rest of society !! There is some help...Consider: Provenman.com “In this day of gathering storms, as moral deterioration of political power spreads it’s growing infection, it is essential that every spiritual force be mobilized to defend and preserve the religious base upon which this nation is founded; for it has been that base which has been the motivating impulse to our moral and national growth. History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline. There has been either a spiritual re-awakening to overcome the moral lapse or a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster”……..

Following their 40-minute First film "The Board" , the six members of the Inner soul return namely,"Mind, Memory, Emotion, Will, Conscience, and Heart as they battle behind the scenes to control the Decision-Making-Process of one man,"Michael Sinclair..played by Brett Varvel." The quality of this film is amazing considering it is only their second production to date. Excellent acting, and special effects with a strong Christian Message. What makes this movie so astonishing is it's uniqueness in that "the story is different from probably any other movie you've ever seen." Creativity and special effects abound as the six members state their case behind the scenes and within one man. "The War Within Trailer "The Board" Trailer

President Calvin Coolidge “In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.” Judges 21:25 "In Gramps' Shoes", a movie that just recently came to my attention. After watching it for the first time...my opinion is... "This movie has a wonderful Christian-Family-Message that perhaps all family members should see"! A single mother of two teenage kids is facing financial hardship and calls upon her father she hasn't spoken to for twenty years. Dad agrees to help and moves in with his daughter and grand kids for awhile. Immediately he begins to have an impact and becomes the father and grandfather they've been missing for years. His granddaughter welcomes him and they begin to forge a strong relationship. However, it becomes a much more difficult project with the teenage boy but in time their relationship becomes to warm-up. He begins to be known as "Gramps" and with his strong Christian faith finally leaves a lasting impression while providing many lessons for Godly and Responsible Living ! One thing that I need to mention...that you'll will notice almost from the beginning... this movie is not a High-Quality Production ! Acting and scenes aren't what I would consider representative of a Quality production, however, "The Content of this movie Supercedes the Quality of it's Production", and as you get into the movie, the viewer will "Warm-Up To It" and begin to embrace the actors and film. The Message is excellent and most families will get something positive out of it. The DVD can be purchased at Christian Cinema.com and Is now recommended as one of our favorites. “When you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing; when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get rich more easily by graft than by work, and your laws no longer protect you against them, but protect them against you. . . you may know that your society is doomed.” This Bible Epic produced in 2001 is a well produced movie that all should enjoy. The story is centered around the Apostle Thomas who is the one, if you can remember the bible story, required additional proof to believe in the resurrection of Jesus. The movie is focused upon his "Love of the LORD and the "Search For That Proof" which continues throughout most of the movie. How does the story end? ....well many of you have read The Gospel of John 20: 24-29.... Watch the film. We think you'll enjoy it ! There doesn't appear to be a website but I found a listing on IMDB which you can link to by clicking on the image above. This Movie Appears to Be #4 in a Series of 4 "Friends Of Jesus Movies", which we will now keep our eyes open for.... However, at this time we willjust add this production to our list of favorites and suggest that you watch the trailer below: Jim Eckland A very touching and well-made movie production. Out of the "American-Old-West", a family of four is devastated by the death of their main bread-winner, husband and father at the hands of an outlaw. This man, Henry Myers, while fleeing his criminal associates, unknowingly comes face-to-face with the family of the man he killed as they "Nurse Him Back To Health From His Wounds". When this "Bible-Believing-Family" realizes what this man has done, their ability to "Forgive" is sorely tested. Erin Bethea from the movie "FireProof", is cast in the role of wife, mother, and family-spiritual-leader and stages a commendable performance. Nice touching movie and well worth taking the time to see it. See the trailer of our "New Favorite Christian Movie" below: Jim Eckland In 1848 a young couple venture west through the American Wilderness in a Covered Wagon in search of new opportunities. Disaster strikes as her husband is killed and his wife is faced with surviving in the wilderness all by herself. She eventually finds the way back to civilization with the help of a new young friend who provides a rather unexpected ending... Interesting movie !! When I began watching it, I had no idea of what it was about and in the beginning found it a chore to watch....but we warmed up to and we think you will too. We've decided to add this to our list of favorites since "The Story Is Different" and because "Acting and Production-Quality" is exemplary !! Be patient as the story develops and we think you will end up liking it ! Watch the trailer below or link to the actual post to view it. Melva, Ken and Jim Eckland |
